Phileas Product
Range
The Phileas concept consists of body modules, subframe modules for the axles and a modular driveline. With these modules 4 variants can be built, with different passenger capacity and a
length. Two of the length variants have
currently been built for the Dutch market; the 18 meter version and the 24 meter version.
The maximum length for single-articulated busses in Europe is 18.0 m. In Europe there is no legislation for the maximum
length of double-articulated busses and it's allowed
for the National authorities to regulate the maximum length for each country
individually. Currently in the United States a length of 60 ft (18.29 m) is allowed for
single-articulated busses. Examples of the Phileas product range are shown in the pictures below.
Other variants may also be possible, but the consequences first will have to be
analyzed by APTS.
Phileas 18 m, with a maximum capacity of 105 passengers, with all seats occupied and 5 persons per sqm on standing places. Seating capacity: 30 - 44, depending on the configuration.
Phileas 24 m,
with a maximum capacity of 140 passengers, with all seats occupied and 5 persons per sqm
on standing places. Seating capacity: 32 - 56, depending on the configuration.
Phileas 25.5 m, with a maximum capacity of 155 passengers, with all seats occupied and 5 persons per sqm on standing places. Seating capacity: 34 - 62, depending on the configuration.
